The Children's Museum of Houston

To break our cabin fever, after a third straight day of rain, we decided to get out of the house and head in to town. Jeff had never been to the Children's Museum, and I hadn't been with the kids in some time, so off we went. The kids were very excited.

It was crowded, because obviously everyone had cabin fever. The kids did get to do a neat experiment with paper towels, alka seltzer, and colored water. When combined, it was quickly set under a plastic container and exploded. Very cool.

Amelia liked turning the pictures on the memory board.

Jeff enjoyed the museum too.

There was a neat place called Kidtropolis, USA, that was added in the remodel. The kids got to work jobs, deposit paychecks, and spend money.
Here's Gregory in the Bike Shop as a technician.

And as a detective.

Here's when Gregory was a technician, Catherine was a cashier, and Mary Claire was a designer.

Future paramedics?

Or Artists?

And lastly, here is our "attempt" at a family picture. Notice Gregory has run, that's him at the very left, Mary Claire is hiding, Catherine and Amelia are somewhat confused, but Jeff and I are smiling...well, it is what it is.

It was a fun day, and I'm sure we'll go back soon.

  1. Fun! We have a good Children's Museum, too. Edith calls it the "Muzey Em," so cute!
