Blueberry Picking and Monday Fun

Jeff had a three day weekend, with Monday off, and he decided we should go blueberry picking. We have a rather large U-pick farm about 10 miles from our house. We talk every year about doing this, but this year was the first time we've gone. At $1.50 per pound, organic blueberries, we'll be back.

The kids were very excited to go, as Jeff has told them all about growing and picking berries. (Jeff's family had a berry farm)

Everyone worked hard at picking blueberries. They were some of the cutest berry pickers ever.

And one was just the cutest berry eater ever.

We ended up picking over 13 pounds of blueberries in about an hour. We worked hard! Once we got home, we decided to go for a swim at the neighborhood pool. Amelia and Gregory were pretty cranky, so that trip didn't last long.

We came back home, enjoyed blueberry shakes, and then the kids had a blast running around the yard while Jeff sprayed them with the water hose.

I think Jeff liked it as well.

After dinner, we enjoyed "the fruits of our labor", blueberry cobbler.

Over coffee and cobbler, Jeff and I agreed, this has been the most fabulous weekend!
