Missing: One Memory Stick for Digital Camera

Yes, our memory stick is missing. I'm almost ready to replace it, because then it will turn up.

The Amelia Monster is the likely culprit, but no guesses as to where it could be.

No new pictures for now, but hopefully soon.
The girls are doing great at school and love going. Here's is a sample of the conversations we've been having:
me: "Mary Claire, do you like Kindergarten?"
Mary Claire: "Oh yes, Mommy, and I really LOVE homework!"
See, no worries. My girls are Einsteins.

Gregory's first trip to the dentist.

Yesterday marked Gregory's first trip to the dentist. We didn't have any concerns, but it was time to start the cleanings.

He was pretty nervous and very unsure of what was going on. He never quite warmed up, but he did stay in the chair and got the full cleaning. He checked out CAVITY FREE!

Shades for the bright lights!

Gregory was happy to get his own goodie bag this time, and quickly made use of his floss...the whole spool of it...He did say cheese for me, to show off his beautiful teeth!

First Day of School!

Today was the first day of school! Catherine is in 2nd grade, and Mary Claire is in Kindergarten. Both girls were so excited for today! Yesterday was filled with selecting the perfect outfits, polishing fingernails and toenails, and of course, bedtime massages.

Catherine's really growing up so much.

Mary Claire is so excited to go to the new school!

Ready to go!

Mary Claire found her spot and had a seat. She hurried us off, telling us to "take Catherine to HER class!"

Catherine was pretty nervous. She hugged her daddy, but chose not to kiss him!
We can't wait to pick them up and hear all of the fun stories!

Meet the Teacher and reflections.

Last night was "Meet the Teacher" at Hidden Hollow Elementary. School starts on Monday and we were all excited to see which teachers the girls would get.

During the kindergarten orientation, the girls could barely contain their happiness to finally be going to the same school!

Everyone enjoyed playing in Mary Claire's new classroom.

Mary Claire's new kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Hoover. She seemed very nice and welcomed us all with hugs. Definitely our type of teacher.

Catherine's new second grade teacher is Mrs. Tisdel. Mrs. Tidel used to substitute for Catherine's kindergarten class quite often, so they both were excited to see each other.

After the kids had their bedtime stories and were all tucked in bed, Jeff and I talked about how excited the whole family is for this new school year. Our family is changing so much. While we were talking, Amelia woke up and decided to sit with Jeff while he worked. She fell back asleep quickly, as she loves to cuddle with him.

It reminds me of how fast time has gone, that our babies are in second grade and kindergarten, and that we will be attending kindergarten orientation for Amelia in just four short years....

Adventures in the Benny 500 Acre Woods

While at my sister's house, in Arkansas, we took a hike in to the Benny's 500 Acre Woods. In the middle of it, there is an area of rocks, the size of cars, called the Rock Village. It's wild to see them placed there, but very fun to climb!

I'm King of the World!

For some reason, I've been obsessed with getting this picture, and Jeff has lovingly obliged me in each attempt to capture it.

Good Morning from Amelia

Good morning from Amelia, who has a serious case of the bed head.

Road Trip-Part Five-Carp Lake

Half a day of our trip to Michigan was spent at Carp Lake. Here, two of Jeff's sisters and one brother, have cottages, side by side. It's sandy and shallow for a ways out and perfect for many hours of playing.

Maybe it's the sunglasses, but I still see Top Gun.
