Kids clothes, outfits individually packed in ziploc bags. Yes, it may be odd, but it's a whole lot easier for everyone to have an entire outfit packed together. And say I'm weird, but they are packed, 5 days BEFORE we leave!
Sand toys, for a beach trip to Van Riper State Park, and buckets for agate picking on our way to Copper Harbor.
Doodlepads, for busying little minds. DVD movies, music, and books will also make their way into the van.
Oh yes, and so will the handheld gaming devices. Leapsters and the Nintendo DS that Catherine got for her birthday. Because, what else would Jeff do?
Stops along the way include a visit with my sister, Danielle, her husband, Stoney, and their six children, Gabrielle, Collin, Josiah, Connor, Alysabelle, and Adelle. She's moved to Bradford, Arkansas (near Little Rock) and had a baby since I last saw her. Yes, her sixth child, Adelle, was born in June! And yes, this picture was taken in the hospital after she gave birth to Adelle with NO pain medicine. Pretty amazing!
We're also planning to spend a day at Legoland, in Chicago. The kids have been wanting to go there for some time. Then we'll be off to Jeff's dad's house in L'Anse. We are all excited!
